Bulk Import

Bulk Import

Setting up a whole team at once? Bulk import lets you add everyone from a spreadsheet instead of typing them in one by one.

When to use it

Bulk import is the fast lane for onboarding. If you’re starting a new team with twenty, fifty, or two hundred people, you don’t want to add them one at a time. Put them all in a spreadsheet and bring them in together.

Just a few people?
For a handful, adding them by hand in the Members area is quicker. Bulk import earns its keep when the list is long.

The steps

1

Download the template and fill it in

Download the ScheduleForward template spreadsheet, then put everyone on it — one person per row (first name, last name, email). It already has the columns the import expects, so you just fill it in and load it back. (It’s an Excel .xlsx or Numbers file.)
2

Upload it

In the Members area, choose bulk import and pick your file. The app reads it and shows you what it found.
3

Confirm

Look over the preview, fix anything that looks off, and confirm. Everyone’s added in one go.
Bulk import: download the template, drop your filled-in Excel or Numbers file, preview, and confirm.

Bulk Import FAQ

What format does the file need to be?

An Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx) or an Apple Numbers file. The import screen shows you the exact columns it expects — first name, last name, email, and role. (A plain CSV won’t work — save it as Excel first.)

What if someone’s already on the team?

The import is smart about duplicates — it won’t add the same person twice. People already on the team are skipped.

Can I undo an import?

There’s no one-click undo, so check your file before importing. If a few rows come in wrong, you can fix or remove those people in the Members area afterward.
