Preference Magic

Every preference starts at 50 (neutral). The strongest signal comes from extremes. Move your three favorite locations up to 90+ and you’ve already moved the needle on draft ranking and auto-pick behavior.

0 is the system’s “please avoid” signal. 25 still reads as “okay-ish.” If you really don’t want a shift type or location, take it all the way down — don’t hedge.

Shift Preferences = the “what” and “where.” Calendar Preferences = the “when.” Used together, the schedule starts feeling like it knows you.

Drag your favorite day to the top, your worst day to the bottom. This is the single biggest determinant of which days you tend to land on when the auto-picker takes over.

Some people want 1–2 days at a time, frequent breaks. Others want 5–7 in a row, then a real stretch off. There’s no wrong answer — but the wrong range fights your life.

Live drafts use whatever was saved when the draft started. Changes you make mid-draft don’t apply until the next one. Five minutes of pre-draft prep pays off.

This is for ranking shifts, not for surveillance. Admins see general patterns to plan fair schedules — they’re not pulling up individual ratings to call you out.
